Coffee shop meeting

by:

Today we had a meeting with Justin of Blueline Results. We met at a coffee shop here in
Ontario and Justin had to be quite shocked at the procession that met him. It has been a
while since we’d met about the site and both my dad and I were there with our wives. We’re trying to intimidate Justin, you see! Wives are quite intimidating…for those of you
without the privilege of having one, now you know.

Anyways, we met with high hopes and a little curiosity. Justin took care of both points very quickly. It is something I’ve begun to really like about his way of doing business. He
goes in and grabs the bull by the horns – none of this beating around the bush. He told us
right off about internal issues they’ve had, then let us know the technology our site was
(in our minds) hinging on was not what they thought it was, and they were scratching that
idea. If anyone else would have told us this, our jaws would have hit the floor and we
would have been beyond discouragement, but it is nice to know we have a guy that wouldn’t hang us out that way. We have discarded the use of Adobe Flex – because Justin said so. Actually, because we’ve run into search engine problems and other boring computer related problems. Bottom line, we are still going forward with the project, it is still going to be awesome, and we’re still excited as a spike bull in September. We’re excited for different reasons, though.

What we have found out today is that this new program is the route we should have taken when we first started, but we didn’t, so no use crying over how much time has been wasted. Especially us. Blueline might cry a little bit. It would be deserved and manly crying I’m sure. So we’ve found out that the new program can do most everything we wanted to do with our other program, except this one works! yay!

The biggest news of the day is that I can actually begin to post content! I’ve been anticipating this day for a long time!

Enjoy.
