Words of Advice

Here is a very helpful article on turkey calling.  Word of caution, be prepared to laugh a little.  While it is lighthearted comedy, it holds a lot of truth when you think about it!

I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to calling turkeys, so I’ll take The Hog Blog’s word for it.  However, I can relate to the advice as it would be pretty much the same thing for elk.  Just when we think we’ve got it figured out, the elk remind us we don’t know anything!

Hey Tom, thanks for the link and the kind words.

I think a key ingredient to hunting turkeys is humility and the willingness to admit that even with the help and advice of people like Will Primos, Dave Hale, and Wayne Carlton, we will never be able to talk turkey like the turkeys.

Like you said, the same goes for elk… a lesson I was painfully reminded of last fall in CO.
