You really got some great pictures that caught the peace and quiet of the moment. To have a natural setting such as you have in the middle of town is awesome. Good luck with your future fishing outings. ;)

Benji, having lived in the Boise area for a number of years, I sure can relate to what a good fishery the river is right through town. Your photos are great! Good luck with your fly tying.

Those are some great pictures. I cannot wait for our steelhead around here.--too bad it doesn't start until late March, early April.

Sounds like a great day on the water, fish or no fish.

Terry, the vise I got was indeed a Regal and I love it. It is one of their lower end vises though as it has the fixed head as opposed to most of the other vises I have seen that have the 360 degree rotating head feature. Still love the ease of use of the Regal vise and have enjoyed trying to learn the craft. It will surely serve my needs at this point.

Hunters Wife, without a doubt catching fish is just a small fraction of the enjoyment of fishing. I especially like exploring areas I have never been too and taking in new surroundings. This makes it even a little easier to accept being skunked. I get frustrated a little quicker on the rivers I go to often as my focus there is usually more on the catching than the exploration.

great story and I think Steelhead flies have some great names too. The first photo of the geese looks like a painting, incredible colors and realism. Say what model of Regal vise was it on Ebay and how do you like it?
