Thanks all. I emailed Jim an answer, but for sake of helping anyone else out there wondering the same questions:

We use a Canon GL2 camera – a good camera for lower cost (of the professional/consumer cameras) I really have no real qualms with this camera – perhaps the only thing I wish is that it had a wider zoom. I’m sure there are attachments for that, though.

As for hosting on Vimeo, I think Vimeo gives more credibility than YouTube simply because YT has become so cluttered with “stuff.” Vimeo seems to be the platform of choice for folks that want to really come across as professional – and the 10 minute time limit on YT is a complete deal breaker for us.

Great job on the video, Tom! I’m impressed. Just curious what you are using for a camera to record your footage…it looks to be in HD…the quality is really there. Finally, do you host on Vimeo only because it allows video longer than YouTube, or do you feel there are quality considerations, too. Just curious your thoughts. Keep up the good work.
