In enjoyed your post Benji. I love casting to rising trout and experiencing the thrill of the take. I even wrote a poem several years ago about my experience fishing The Ranch stretch of the Henry's Fork. I still get goosebumps when I read it.

Great post Benji! It reminded me of when I was a kid fishing the Lostine River in Oregon. The water there was ice cold and crystal clear... the trout could see you from a long way off. We soon learned to wear dark clothing and sneak as you said... I don't know how many times we'd creep up on a great looking hole , only to see shadows of fish darting everywhere for cover... they were extremely hrad to sneak up on! We weren't fly fishing, just casting and reeling a roostertail spinner past logs and undercut banks... but it was a thrill when those little brookies chomped down on the bait!
