We have a few of them cats around here! The Missouri Conservation say they are called "Pumas" I know several people who have seen them and I have seen at least 3 or 4 in the last 8 years! My ex brother-in-law and I used to predator call at night back in the late 70's and we called one to in to us on a full moon night and neither one of us knew what we was seeing until we went home and my grandpa said it was a mountain lion! It scared the %$#@ out of us anyway. We neither one got took a shot, mainly cause it caught us by surprise! Makes the adrenalin flow! That's what I am talking about! The Conservation has just admitted that they have confirmed sighting in Missouri, same with the black bears, after many years of reporting them to the conservation department! Finally , when they was called out to an accident where some one ran over and killed one with his car! Kind of hard to deny it after that!

The Michigan dnr has finally admitted we have mountain lions in the state. A friend of mine had one around his tree stand in the U.P. a couple years ago, and he was kind of nervous walking out at night. Pound for pound they are one strong cat!

I will agree with Arthur on being legit but I do have to say that does make you think what kind of wildlife you really do have and what size the populations are.

I've been hearing a lot of talk around the internet lately about them. Haven't heard much about them in Indiana though. And that rug is very scary looking.

I hope that photo is legitimate. I'm always skeptical of photos I receive through email. If it is legit, though, it is one heck of a photo.

Thankfully, I don't think we have the big cats around my neck of the woods. People have claimed to have seen them around here, but I have yet to see any evidence of that. I suppose, though, since they are located north of us, that it's only a matter of time before they venture down this way.

Heck, I could've been "watched" already and don't even know it; creepy and cool all at the same time.
