2013 Spring Turkey

It’s hard to believe Spring turkey season will soon be over in Idaho. My dad and I started it off with lots of action and dad was able to bring home the bird in the first week of the season… it was another pricless time spent with my dad in the woods! The second week I had an opportunity at a nice gobbler, only 20 yards away. I must have gotten the fever … my arrow went right under him and all it did was ruffle a few feathers. The next week my niece came to try her hand at it. The gobblers were silent and all we had come into our setups were hens. Now I am looking at the end of the season and just hoping I can squeeze one more hunt in!

I like going turkey hunting so much! And I admire the fact that you went hunting with your father – for me, it’s one one of the most interesting activities you can do with your family.
